Bolt’s driver after threatening the pistol to the passenger is blocked from the platform / day

In the Public Relations Department of the State Police, LETA found that on the evening of May 18, police received information on the conflict between the taxi driver and the passenger.
The taxi driver has violated the generally accepted behavioral rules in the conflict, used lame words, and pulled out a weapon -like object that has been opened against the taxi passenger. Shortly after the taxi driver, the driver was suspended.
Initially, the administrative violation process for petty hooliganism was initiated, but it is retrained for aggressive behavior.
The weapon -like item has been a pneumatic weapon, police said.
Baķis explained to LETA that the company was aware of the situation and apologizes to the customer on behalf of the Bolt team. At the same time, he stressed that a partner shower from the Bolt platform was permanently blocked and he would no longer be able to use the Bolt platform to provide services.
According to him, the customer was transferred to the standard compensation based on the length of the trip, but he added that the compensation could be reviewed, taking into account the further progress of the investigation.
He emphasized that security is a priority for the company, so the company is seriously perceived by the company and observes zero tolerance against any partner shower violations. At the same time, he acknowledged that the company had contacted the customer and discussed the case. Baķis also pointed out that the particular partner was a license issued by the Road Transport Directorate (ATD) and provided passenger transport by a taxi car with a « yellow » license plate.
Bolt is ready to cooperate with the State Police and will provide all the information needed in the investigation process that the company has, Baķis added.
It has already been reported that Bolt was established in 2013 by Marcus Villig, who currently owns 16.87%in the company. Bolt is a transport service platform in Europe used by more than 200 million customers and more than 4.5 million partner shows and partnerkers in more than 50 countries and 600 cities in Europe and Africa.
