Bolojan. PSD and PNL have the responsibility to correct things
The Social Democratic Party and the National Liberal Party ‘have the responsibility to correct the things that have been wrongly accumulated’ in the governments they have turned, interim president Ilie Bolojan said on Tuesday.
‘This situation in which it is Romania is also given by the way in which the parties that have ruled so far have managed our country. And PSD and PNL believe that they have a main responsibility for this situation and it is normal from my point of view to try to correct the things that have been wrongly accumulated, given the parliamentary capacity they have and the difficulty of making a majority, « he told Antena 1.
Bolojan detailed the current situation in Romania.
‘If we are correct with us and the Romanians, we must admit that the main element of difficulty of our country is at the moment is the budget crisis in which we find ourselves. This budget crisis comes from previous years, it comes from decisions that have been made, many – for example pensions or wages, investments that have been adopted by previous governments – we have a difficulty in financing this deficit, because we have to take loans and we have a major difficulty related to the Romanian rating said Bolojan.
He also discussed the perspective of a prime minister after the presidential elections.
‘Immediately after these elections it is necessary, because we have a pressure of time, to form a parliamentary majority to support a prime minister. The problem is not to want to hold a position, regardless of who the person is, but to have a majority that supports a certain format and unfortunately this majority is not very easy to format, because the Romanian Parliament is politically sprayed. No party has a share of more than 23% and we are in the situation where in order to form a stable majority-because only a government can pass Romania through this difficult period that will follow-you must consist of three to four parties so that you have a stable majority. This is an important condition ‘, said Bolojan, who stressed the importance of the support that the President of Romania gives to a candidate for the position of chief of the Executive.
The interim president emphasized assuming responsibility including the party on which he was driving – PNL.
‘I agree that both myself and the party that I represented until this period of interim-has responsibility, because he also contributed to this unpleasant situation in which Romania is, not to desert from this front of liability and to participate in these negotiations-and I agree to assume all the responsibility to be part of a government. Not only the prime minister is important, a strong team is important, so that each party sends the best people they have, to make each one in its maximum possible conditions, « said Ilie Bolojan.
