Dragana Bojkovska, MP of the VMRO-DPMNE caucus at today’s press conference that 12.7m euros were provided for reconstruction of the Skopje Military Hospital and modernization of Ohrid Airport. Through the Draft Law on Tax Release, with the aim of concluding an annex to the Concession Agreement with the company TAV Macedonia, which was submitted by lawmakers last week, it will be invested in key transport and health infrastructure.
– At the main city hospital in Skopje, it will no longer be operated on underneath the ceilings, patients and medical staff will not ride in dark and outdated elevators. The operating rooms will collapse to zero, and new ones will be built, with the most modern surgical equipment. The intensive care unit, as well as the laboratories, will be reconstructed. The Skopje Military Hospital will receive a completely new character and be added to Macedonian health – she said.
Ohrid Airport will be reconstructed for the first time since its construction.
– A new administrative building, new security space, complete reconstruction and adaptation of the existing terminal building is foreseen. A project that will contribute to better conditions for both passengers and for airport staff. All of this will be funded by TAV Macedonia, which will also choose designers and contractors as part of the obligations they have against the state – says the lawmaker.
She pointed out that VMRO-DPMNE creates lasting values for Macedonia to become a better place for everyone.
« Therefore, I urge lawmakers from all political parties to support the law that will provide these key capital investments, » Bojkovska said.
