Boeing 787, extended monitoring. Nor is this option excluded
The Indian government has ordered an emergency inspection of all Boeing 787 aircraft after the Ahmedabad’s aviation disaster, a soldier with at least 270 dead, announced the Minister responsible for aviation on Saturday, specifying that the authorities are considering all possible causes, Reuters reports.
On Friday, the regulatory authority in the field of aviation asked Air India, who owned the collapsed plane, to carry out additional checks at its Boeing 787-8/9 aircraft equipped with Genx engines.
« I also ordered the extended monitoring of the 787 aircraft. I am 34 in our Indian fleet, » said Minister Ram Mohan Naidu at a press conference in Delhi.
Air India operates 33 devices 787 and the Rival Indigo company, according to Flightradar24 data.
It has not yet been ordered to suspend their use, but a source indicated on Friday for Reuters that the Indian government also considers this option.
Naidu also said that the Government and Air India will analyze all the possible theories about the reason for the collapse, including why the landing train remained open.
