Body missing woman (53) found on the roof of apartment building in Ostend, man (46) arrested for murder (inland)

The Bruges investigating judge arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of a murder of a 53-year-old woman. This is reported by the public prosecutor of West Flanders, Bruges department. The victim was found on the roof of an apartment building in Ostend.
The local police of Ostend received a call on Thursday at 6.58 am about an alarming disappearance of a 53-year-old woman. During the subsequent search, the investigators discovered the lifeless body of the victim on the roof of the apartment building where she lived.
In response to that find, the West-Flemish public prosecutor claimed a judicial investigation led by an investigating judge. A law doctor and the lab also went on site to investigate the death.

In the meantime, a 46-year-old man could be arrested as a suspect. The suspect was brought before the Bruges investigating judge on Saturday. He decided to keep the forties on suspicion of murder. However, the public prosecutor has not yet communicated about the precise circumstances. It is therefore not clear whether the suspect has made confessions.
On Tuesday morning the 46-year-old man in Bruges will appear before the council chamber. The council chamber will judge whether or no longer should stay in prison.
