Bob Dylan wanted … to hit Woody Allen
Even the 21st century anti-war activists could resort to violence in extreme cases. Take for example Bob Dylan’s Men for Woody Allen.
Nowadays, it would not be prudent and politically right to say, just as the creator of « Masters of War » did, that he would like to give the legend of comic films Woody Allen a cuff, and as if that was not to express his desire to make his glasses.
But once, it seems to be.
Bob Dylan desperately wanted to hit Woody Allen

Allen’s film career continued mostly unhindered after his separation from his partner, Faro, who came after the news that the director and actor had a relationship with her 21 -year -old adopted daughter, Sun -Yen, in 1992, in 1992.
However, public opinion sparked with the protagonist of the film « Nervous Lover » in the decades that followed, especially after Allen’s biological daughter, Dylan, accused him of sexual abuse.
But many years before some cinema lovers and Allen’s own family hated his body, Bob Dylan was hungry from the depths of his heart and wanted not only to hit him, but also to break his characteristics.
Although he was known as one of the most prominent anti -war activists of the 1960s, Dylan had a sharp behavior that seemed to flare out of nowhere.
In the biography of British journalist Paul Trinka of 2014, Brian Jones: The Making of the Rolling Stones, the creator claims that the eclipse rock star and a member of the 27 clubs witnessed Dylan’s rage during a party – though, fortunately, the violent temperament of « Mr. Tambourine Man »did not turn against Brian Jones.
According to his friend Jones, Prince Stanislas Klossowski de Rola, more widely known as « Stash », Dylan approached both Stash and Jones during the night out and asked, « Do you know what I would do if Woody? » And then answering the question himself, he said, « I would throw him on his face, I would take out his glasses and press them. »
« Dylan was extremely aggressive, » Stash told Trinka, « he was crushing you in the corner, hitting his finger on your chest (…) Then he was trying to get you into a vendetta. He had these transient whims, such as hatred for Woody Allen or Terry Southern – all as a tornado. «
Although a reason Dylan wanted to slightly crush Allen at the moment, the singer’s fans believe that hatred may have been two -way, as it turns out in a scene in the movie « Nervous Lover », where Allen listens to her.
