USR deputy Bogdan Rodeanu initiated a draft law that stipulates that the participation of military personnel in activity, of the soldiers and professional graders in activity and of the police in penitentiary in activities of mercenary Or for personal security and protection activities, without the approval of the Romanian authorities, is punished by imprisonment from 5 to 10 years.
« Everything that has happened in the last six months in Romania clearly shows that the Romanian state has to strengthen its entire defense system, public order and national security. And we are not talking about modernization, financing or other aspects, but about eliminating vulnerabilities consisting of the human resource that shuts down, in one way or the other, the status of the instituents, in one way The notion of mercenary, introduces it into the law of public safety which is currently in force and then introduces prohibitions under criminal incidence in the area of the statutes of each professional category, whether we are talking about the status of military personnel, about the status of the policeman, about the status of the soldier and the professional graduate and in the area of the police, «
He added that there have been cases until now when the military or police, under the pretext that they were on medical leave or on leave to raise the child, left in Congo, where they worked in an armed context.
