« Bloomed chestnuts »- festival at the age of majority- the angle- see the world as it is!
Recently, the Culture Palace in the municipality of Ungheni hosted the eighteenth edition of the festival-contest « Bloomed chestnuts », an event attended by 12 orchestras and 15 various ensembles as content in Ialoveni, Strășeni, Nisporeni, Hâncești and Ungheni. The festival was organized by the district section of Culture and Tourism Ungheni in partnership with the City Hall of Ungheni in order to discover new talents and bring the beautiful to the public.

During the day the halls of the Palace of Culture became true laboratories of artistic creation, where it dominated the world of music and painting. The musical teams, but also are part of the plastic art schools in the Ungheni district, guided by teachers, concert masters or correpectors have been in artistic and creativity evolutions, while offering moments of admiration for the public and jury members.
« This festival-contest represents an important event in the cultural life of the municipality of Ungheni. Such activities are very welcome, because you can see the fruit of the hard work of the students and teachers. For the participants, the respective festival represents a starting track to the Great Scenes », Andrei Pascaru, Deputy Director of the Music School « George Enescu ».
« I am for the first time at such a contest. Today the drawings we make are from Mihai Eminescu’s creations. My drawing is called » Lake « . This contest gives us the opportunity to exchange ideas and inspire and enrich the imagination ”, Denisa Rîbcic, the School of Fine Arts, Sculeni.
« I am as a jury of the 8th year at this festival in this color, color oasis and always remain amazed because it is a wonderful space here, where the talents are not only born, but also grow as a mountain springs, which is carved by the teaching. According to the organizers, it is for the first time, when in the 18 years of this competition, the jury at the Music Department, decides to award the Great Prize at three artistic groups, namely: « Slusullul » Popular Music, « Eugen Doga » School, Straseni municipality; The « Ungheni Classic Band » aerophone instruments and the vocal-instrumental group « Prutenii », the music school, Ungheni municipality. At the Fine Arts Department, the Great Prize returned to Andreea Cebotari, a student, the « Raisa Cojocaru » Plastic Arts, Ungheni Municipality.
