The United States, specifically its NSA secret service, produce the cryptoccode for the Link-16 and deliver it to its partners, including Switzerland. The Patriot air defense system can also only combat drones and planes without special radard data from the USA from Poland and the Czech Republic, but not our cities protect against ballistic and hyper -sound missiles, as used by Russia against Ukraine every day.
The Federal Council missed in 2021 to pronounce a European fighter jet. France, for example, offered Switzerland comprehensive military and political cooperation. The secret document from 2000
An important date for the Swiss-American weapon brotherhood is July 2000. At that time, Defense Minister Adolf Ogi signed a “Memorandum of Agreement Concerning Communications Interoperability and Security” in Washington. The secret document is still in force. It regulates the data exchange between the NSA, which produces cryptology for the Link-16, and the defense department in Bern.
Switzerland also receives the secret cryptodata for the US military GPS, the so-called P-code. This GPS is like a civilian navigation system, only much more precisely. If Switzerland were cut off from the monthly deliveries of the P-Code, the Air Force's operational capacity would be massively reduced.
In theory, Trump could come up with the extortionate idea of only making this code available to the Swiss with certain conditions. The Swiss Air Force would be just as blind and deaf without US data as the Ukrainian army.
The dependence of Switzerland on the United States is not only limited to the delivery of the P-Code. The software updates from F/A-18 and in particular from its most effective steering weapon Amraam are subject to exclusive US control, as the “Aargauer Zeitung” in 2015 reported. The steering weapon must be sent to the USA for a software update.
No Swiss staff are approved at this “Amraam change service”. Which source code the Americans program is hidden. The background: The United States wants complete control over strategic weapons that you sell abroad. You want to ensure that US weapons can never be used against them.
Purchase contracts are signed
