Blerina Gjylameti, message after losing mandate
Blerina Gjylameti has reacted after losing his mandate in the May 11 elections, describing the race as a victory in many meanings. She expressed gratitude to the supporters and said she did not deal with « small wars ».
Gjylameti lost his mandate in front of Olta Jacka from preferential votes, with 6,085 votes against the 6,213 that Jacaçkaka received.
Reaction: Dear friends, family and my supporters in the May 11 race,
I have a great hug for each of you – and you are little, 6148 hearts! All of you who trusted me the most precious thing a citizen has: the vote.
Wherever you were – in Unit 4, throughout the district of Tirana, and above all you voted from the Diaspora – I want to say thank you.
Every vote, every expression of faith, is a precious stone at the foundation of a better Albania.
There is no loser in this race – there are only winning. And I believe this with all my heart.
We have all gained continuity on the road to the European future.
I have personally won your hearts, your respect, your support, and for that I am deeply grateful.
May 11 for me was a win of a different kind: a valuable experience, a challenging race and a result that fills me with pride.
Thank you to each of you.
Thanks to my tireless team, my patient family, and in particular Prime Minister Edi Rama, for trust and support.
Especially in these tedious and challenging days, full of emotion, we – better than anyone else – realize how difficult it is to keep a large family like the Socialist Party together.
Our battle continues. For the commitments that this political force has received.
We do not wage small wars – we do great battles for people’s lives, not at all for our lives.
Grateful.
These elections, this race, have given me full awareness of why I am in politics, why in the SP, and the deep conviction that the Socialist Party is the strength that the country needs in this historic moment.
The elections are over.
The sovereign spoke.
Politics for people continues.
