London. The last concert of British singer Ozzy Osbourne, who will perform with the metal band Black Sabbath in Birmingham on July 5, sold out in 16 minutes. The concert record will also be available online with a two -hour delay.
Black Sabbath will be the main stars of the festival at the Villa Park in Birmingham, where they will also play other metal legends that Osbourne with Black Sabbath inspired. Spectators 5th July will see Metallica, Pantra, Slayer, Gojira, Anthrax, Tool and Guns N ‘Roses.
« We have noticed a huge interest in fans from all over the world who could not get a ticket. They threw ourselves on our social networks and begged us to send the concert live. Since it is a historic event, we could not disappoint them, » said the singer’s wife Sharon quoted in a press release.
The BBC recalls that Black Sabbath was founded in 1968 and the first rehearsal was just near Villa Park, where the July concert will take place.
Osbourne, who had to stop practically for health problems, will have a short solo performance at the festival, after which he will perform with Black Sabbath.
For the first time in 20 years, the band will meet in their original composition. They called the concert Back to the Beginning (back to the beginning). Osbourne will perform on stage together with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward.
Ozzy Osbourne has undergone a series of spinal injuries in recent years, and announced in 2020 that he was suffering from a mild form of Parkinson’s disease.
All the proceeds from the concert will be supported by the charitable organization financed research of Parkinson’s disease, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and one children’s hospice.
