Bitter defeat for Luxembourg's national handball team
In the third game of the ongoing European Championship qualification, the Luxembourg handball players against Belgium in the Coque had to take a significant 22: 32 defeat in front of 639 paying spectators. The FLH selection remains pointless.
In the first round, the team of Coach Maik Handschke kept well. Because of many simple ball losses and technical errors as well as a large number of inaccurate degrees, the FLH selection had to go into half time with a 13:16 deficit.
With 22 goals scored, you don't win a handball game, especially not at this level.
Loïc Kaysen
At the beginning of the second half, the red lions found well into the game, in the meantime even shortened to 16:17, remained from the 45. ' But owe pretty much everything. In their attacks, the FLH selection often seemed predictable and unfocused. Despite some strong parades, the two keepers Mika Herrmann and Guillaume Felici could not prevent the double -digit defeat in the end.
Tina Welter leaves her teammates a pioneering advice
« With 22 goals scored, you don't win a handball game, especially not at this level, » was the sobering conclusion of Backroom player Loïc Kaysen. National coach Handschke was also disappointed: “It is difficult to find words, especially since we had a lot of big plans. I can still be satisfied with the defense, but we lost the game in the attack because we did not use too many free throws and sometimes too hastily. For the second leg on Sunday in Hasselt we have to quickly get our heads free again and want to show a different face there. ”
