Bikers follow this Luxembourg in all directions
« The story behind Bruno Motorcycle Tours is actually the same as in my past as a driving instructor. Motorcycling is simply a great passion of mine, » explains Bruno de Pinho in an interview with the « Luxemburger Word ». He has been on the bike for 26 years and also likes to go with it. « I have already grabbed a lot in Europe on two wheels, from Scotland to Ireland to the Scandinavian countries. I was up to the North Cape, was traveling in the Balkans and I am also to Portugal and Spain, » says the entrepreneur, who also operates the Auto-école Bruno in Schifflingen.
You will learn new landscapes, new cultures, new people and do this on two wheels, without a body, without air conditioning, that’s really phenomenal.

« Either you love motorcycling or you hate it, » says Bruno de Pinho. « Some people say it is far too dangerous, you get wet when it is raining, you are cold when it is cold and sweats like an ox when the sun is popping. That is also true. But that’s part of the fun of motorcycling. Yes, you are exposed to the weather and you have to drive forward and calculate with all eventualities. But on the whole, the feeling of freedom. Intensive, you feel the street much more precisely.
Often he did the tours alone, but it was always colleagues and acquaintances. After that, these were always extremely enthusiastic and had seen landscapes on the tours that they would otherwise never have discovered. « They had to take care of nothing, were only able to follow me and could discover spectacular places on their motorcycle, » said de Pinho.
The organization falls away
At some point he got the idea of making a service out of it. « The idea was to show this to other people and to experience what I experience here for landscapes and drive streets from which every motorcyclist dreams. So one then led one to the other. »

Since this year, the driving instructor and experienced motorcyclists have been offering corresponding tours with himself as a guide. The route is completely planned, all hotels are booked and a colleague accompanies the entire tour with an accompanying vehicle in which not only the entire luggage of the participants, but also tools and a replacement motorcycle are undertaken. While the accompanying vehicle is already driving to the hotel, the bikers should enjoy picturesque roads without unnecessary load. When you arrive at the hotel, everyone is already checked in and your luggage is your rooms.
« Many people want to make such trips, but shy away from the whole organizational. And we come into play. Our participants only have to fill up, drive and enjoy, » said Bruno de Pinho. The feedback is not only good in Luxembourg so far, de Pinho reports on the first registrations, but also abroad, the offer is of interest.
Luxembourg, Alps, Highlands
Four tours are currently planned for the current year. In mid-May, a first trek of a motorcycle weekend across Luxembourg starts, and at the end of June it goes to the Swiss Alps for eight days to the Italian border to the Stilfser Joch (Passo Dello Stelvio). At 2,757 meters high, the mountain pass is the highest passage in Italy and after the Col de L’Iseran the second highest pass of the Alps. The famous northeast ramp consists of 48 hairpin bends that are classic bucket list material for motorcyclists.

Luxembourg electric newcomers were on the E-van for six weeks
Scotland is also what de Pinho calls when it comes to his most beautiful motorcycle experience so far. « Scotland and Ireland – these were definitely one of the most beautiful areas, even though the weather was most rainy. The north of Scotland, the Highlands, with little civilization and a lot of nature, that was really quick. »
