Bigorski invites believers to celebrate flowerbeds in the Church of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God in Debar

Completing the sacred sacred and Great Forty, the Holy Bigorski Osor invites believers to a common celebration of the feast of the entry of the Lord Jesus Christ to Jerusalem – flowerbeds, as an announcement of the final triumph of life over death. On this occasion, tomorrow, at 8:30 am, the Divine Hierarch’s Liturgy will be celebrated in the Church of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God, which will be held by His Eminence, Bishop of Antanian. Parthenius.

The church will be exposed to worship the faithful of the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Mother of God Glycophilusa (sweetly, or mere), which is kept in the Holy Monastery of Philotheus, which has arrived in the Bigorski Monastery these days.

– The Church of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God in the Debar neighborhood of Varos, the old part of the city, was built in 1840 and is one of the most beautiful revival churches in Macedonia, a true memory of the spiritual and building achievement of our ancestors from that celebrity, and taking into account the difficult social and economic conditions.

It used to be the main cathedral of the Debar bishopric, as well as the headquarters of the Debar Metropolis, which is why today the space in front of the church is called Metropolis.

According to the form it represents a three -nave basilica, painted with wall frescoes and iconostasis with beautiful icons of the 19th century.

Last year, after the initiative and efforts of Bishop Parthenius and in collaboration with the Church Board and devotional debris, extensive conservation and restoration works were carried out on the temple, which protected his roof from the test, and the great damage was repaired, and the church was completely renovated.

-The purpose of the forthcoming worship is, among other things, honoring our Most Holy Mother of God, for this sake of her Church-Pamorel with great historical and spiritual meaning, as well as to honor and gratitude to the godly ancestors, who with great sacrifice.

They point out that the blessing to attend the worship has all those who prayerfully want to celebrate these great holidays, preparing for the suffering week of our beloved Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ.
