BFS has announced a budget of nearly BGN 24 million, but serious financial losses are expected
The budget of the Bulgarian Football Union for 2025 will be BGN 23 852 000, it became clear after today’s reporting congress. However, the costs will be higher than the revenue and the federation is expected to be minus BGN 801,000.
From the report, which was taken out to the media, it was learned that the expected revenues would be formed as follows: FIFA will receive BGN 2 650 000, from UEFA – BGN 11 492 000, the revenues from TV Rights will be 758 000 BGN, from sponsors and advertising – BGN 1 108 000, and from the coaching school – 646 levs.
The planned costs for securing the national teams are BGN 6 483 000, those for the development of football – BGN 2 183 000, for securing the internal calendar – BGN 2 523 000, for securing the amateur championships – BGN 1 577, for the management of football – BGN 1. BGN 700,000.
It is clear from the report that 2025 will have less revenue from the previous 12 months. For 2024, the BFS is plus of BGN 985,000, while a year later it will be minus 801 000 BGN. The big difference comes from the money that comes under FIFA and UEFA programs. For 2024, the revenues from FIFA were BGN 3 412 000, and from UEFA – BGN 14 824 000.

« We are already in the final rights to sign contracts and from June we will have about 4,000,000 leva revenue from sponsorship contracts only, so we will cover all the shortcomings, » explained BFS President Georgi Ivanov.
In 2024, the audit report, when I accepted the Football Union, was minus BGN 4 225 000. For 2025 we are 47,000 BGN plus.
For 2026 we will have 2 400,000 less revenue than that the League of Nations will not be held, « Ivanov said.
