Besliovska: We have about 9,200 nurses, and we should be about 15 thousand
Unofficial data from the Institute of Public Health says we are 9,200, but the needs of our standards are somewhere at 14-15,000 nurses, Gordana Besliovska, president of the Union, headed by the Association of Nurses, Technicians, Obstetricians and Dental Nurses, told today’s press conference. The press conference was on the occasion of the first South East European Nursing Conference, held in Skopje.
« The moment is very important with the competitions we are expecting now in April to resolve the statuses of the sisters who are in action at this time in hospitals, which are waiting and daily appearing in the Union and the Association and expecting our support, » Besliovska added.
The fact that the nurses are very important, as it was, proved to be the latest tragedy – the fire at the Pulse disco in Kocani, which occurred on March 16 and claimed 60 victims.

– There were 17 children from 18 to 26 years old, some were transferred to Nis. The rest are good, stable, not on a respirator and we hope for the best. These are children who are already making a skin transplant. I hope in two to three weeks, most will be returned. For the time being, they were photographed with a message for everyone here, « Greetings to Macedonia ». Greetings to all of them, but also of us from the Clinical Center – she said in a statement to the media.

Now the intensive care was a patient who hopes to be good. Two patients were transferred to other clinics, which meant that their condition stabilized.
Besliovska said this conference was to be held on March 22.
« Unfortunately, given the events that happened, all of our colleagues coming from the region and Europe had to stay in the hospitals to accept our injured in the Kocani accident, » Besliovska explained.
She said recognition would be awarded this day.
Besliovska again demanded that the sister chamber be made, the law on sisters and sisters to be licensed.
– What we will exchange as an opinion today, with all our colleagues from Europe and Southeast Europe and the region, is no different theirs than everything we do here and do, only they have translated laws and have sister documentation. We do it all, we just need the same record and we need recognition of our competencies and our educational qualifications to follow our job tasks in hospitals. That’s the way we keep the sisters here – Besliovska was clear.
Asked about the average salary of the sisters, she said it depends on several factors.
« Let’s say that a medium -sized value of their scoring may be around 29 to 30,000 denars is the starting salary in denar counter -value for one sister with an average professional, » she said, but said, and it depends on several factors.
