Berova: Casino permits depending on legal conditions, the audit will continue – Cyprus Newspaper
Speaking at the General Assembly of the Assembly of the Republic, Finance Minister Ozdemir Berova responded to criticisms of casinos and concerns in public opinion. Stating that the casino permits were given in accordance with the law, Berova said that the control mechanisms also work.
Responding to CTP deputy Salahi Şahiner’s criticisms of casino projects and the supervision of the sector, Berova said, “There are open conditions in the law for casino permits. Preliminary permits will be canceled if these conditions are not fulfilled”.

Emphasizing that the permissions are spreading for years, Berova said that a significant portion of the licenses given to casinos were given during the CTP period. He also reminded the responsibility of the past periods about the infrastructure load of municipalities.
