Berikon AG’s homicide: 15-year-old dead, 14-year-old arrested

What happened?

In Berikon, an emergency call from walkers triggered a police operation at the shooting club. They called on Sunday shortly after 4 p.m. at the cantonal emergency center because they noticed an injured young person who had made a strange impression. The 14-year-old was not injured in life and was taken to the hospital.

At the same time, strollers found a girl in the nearby forest, who was heavily bleeding on the ground. The private individuals provided first aid until the police and another ambulance arrived. The 15-year-old died on site, says a message from the Aargau cantonal police.

Kapo media spokesman Bernhard Graser says: « We have made clarifications and it has been shown that there is obviously a homicide. » It is currently not known whether the crime occurred in the forest in which the victim was found.

On Sunday evening it became known that the fatalities were a 15-year-old girl from the region. Despite resuscitation measures, all help came too late. The girls both attended the Mutschellen district school, as confirmed in the meantime to the AZ. The Aargau cantonal police was on site on Monday, but only to support school, especially in communication.

What is known about the motive of the crime?

The exact circumstances and possible motives of the deed are still unclear. According to initial knowledge of the cantonal police, the victim suffered stab wounds. The Aargau cantonal police have started intensive investigations.
