Support fund for reconstruction
The Swiss sponsorship for mountain communities has set up a fund for the municipality of Blatten VS over a million francs. This is intended to enable the clean -up work and the reconstruction of the public institutions as well as support subsequent follow -up projects. The president of the sponsorship, old Council of States Werner Luginbühl from the canton of Bern, is now calling for the entire population to support the fund with donations.
Directly to affected donations
The Blatten Foundation has opened a donation account in favor of the municipality of Blatten and its residents immediately after the rock fall. The use of the donations should be coordinated with the municipal authorities.
Also the Community Blatten has its own donation account. If you want to provide non-financial help, such as clothing donations or living opportunities, you can also contact the municipality of Blatten at [email protected].
Also on the crowdfunding platform Gofundme Countless donations with reference have been switched on. Over 70,000 francs have already been collected through gofundme.
Another way to help those affected directly in blatts is through the organization «Neighbors in need». The organization based in Visp VS is committed to fighting poverty in the Upper Valais. If you donate Lötschental with note, the funds benefit the residents of Blatten. (ear/watson.ch)
