The Dolj Court ordered the preventive arrest of the interloper Berce Mondialu along with three members of his family in a file for setting up an organized criminal group, cam and blackmail.

According to the court’s decision, they received preventive arrest warrants for 30 days Sandu Anghel, known as Bercea Mondialu, Constantin Anghel said ‘Samir’; Florin Anghel said ‘Băsică’; Laurentiu Anghel said ‘Poca’.

Six other family members were released under judicial control: Fănica Anghel said ‘Stela’, Grinică-Ion Anghel said ‘Mondialu’/’Cristi’, Izauu Constantin (former Anghel) said ‘Maci’, Marius Constantin said ‘Titi’, Maria-Roxana Drăgoi and Marinela Sima. They will permanently carry an electronic supervisory device.

According to DIICOT, during 2022, Sandu Anghel, known as Bercea Mondialu, and family members formed an organized crime group in order to obtain substantial material benefits from granting money with a loan, for which they claimed monthly interest ranging from 10 to 40%, says investigators.

Within this pyramidal type group, the decisions related to the household operations were taken by Bercea Mondialu, while its subordinates had the task of recovering the debtors, who were constantly increasing their interest and penalties were imposed for non-payment of the amounts due to the prosecutors.

In the situation in which the borrowed persons could no longer honor their obligations, the members of the group resorted to threats, acts of intimidation or physical violence, in order to recover the debts.

The amounts obtained from the chamber were used for the purchase of movable or immovable goods – luxury cars, houses, apartments, land.

DIICOT seized the wealth owned by Bercea Mondialu’s family, respectively seven cars, 41 bank accounts and over 40 buildings – land and construction.

Bercea Mondialu has two assets for the active attempt at qualified murder.

He received 13 years for an attempt to kill against a former deputy mayor of Slatina, Valeriu Matei, and 8 years – for the stabbing of a nephew.

Was released on prison in 2022.
