Belgrade – a historical opportunity for the region

PointIf an event in meaning should exceed everything before him and to establish himself forever as an event for which the opportunity is once in his life, his influence must also spread far beyond the borders of the country in which it takes place. It must be so magnificent, unique and global that we see in it the world in a small, with all the shades and similarities that exist between nations and countries.

Belgrade and Serbia will be proud hosts of such an epochal event, which is rightly called « historical », since the specialized Expo 2027 exhibition will not only be the first time in the Western Balkans, but also for the first time in the entire former Yugoslavia. From May 15 to 15 August 2027, 120 countries will present their interpretations on the topic of humanity: sports and music for all, and the city at the confluence of Sava and the Danube will attract more than four million domestic and foreign visitors in 93 days, as much as the event lasts.

In addition to the fact that the EXPO 2027 will be a unique opportunity for Serbian tourism and the economy and that Serbia will be able to host a lot of different cultures and traditions, it will also be an important turning point for the global recognition of the entire region, which will finally get its place on the map of international exhibitions. Serbia will not only present its hospitality, but its entire catering, tourist and economic potential.

In other words, a specialized exhibition in Belgrade in 2027 will not be a unique opportunity for the city itself, but for the whole region, especially for countries connected by the Sava River. Namely, it is expected that the success of this event will also echo in Zagreb and Ljubljana, thus encouraging tourists to explore not only the Serbian capital, but other cities of the former Yugoslavia. The exhibition will thus contribute its share to the strengthening of local economies and the promotion of cultural and tourist values ​​of the entire area.

Therefore, the Expo 2027 is a complete opportunity for the region to dance, song, sports, delicious food and the hospitality that is most recognizable, making it a step forward and shows its most beautiful face to the world.
