A 44-year-old man was assaulted by another and his son, a 17-year-old teenager, following a spontaneous conflict in a voting section in Sector 5 of the Capital.

The Communication Center of the Municipality of Bucharest informed that, on Sunday afternoon, gendarmes from the General Directorate of Gendarmes of the Municipality of Bucharest, together with firefighters from ISU-BIF, who provided guard at a polling station in Sector 5, observed a man who is physically assaulted by two other persons.

Under these conditions, law enforcement intervened promptly to resolve the conflict and to establish the factual situation. Also, police officers from the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest – 19 Police Section were notified, in order to be taken from competence.

At the same time, on the spot, other intervention teams within the General Gendarmes Directorate of Bucharest were directed, who have legitimized and verified the persons involved in the conflict, these being led outside the educational unit, where the respective polling station is located.

Following the first checks, it was established that, against the background of a spontaneous conflict, in the polling station, a 44 -year -old man was physically assaulted by another 34 -year -old man, but also by his son, 17 years old.

According to the quoted source, the injured person received medical care by the ISU-BIF crew, refusing transport to the hospital.

All the persons involved were led to the headquarters of the 19 Police Section, to be heard and to take the legal measures that are required.

The investigations are continued by the policemen from the 19 Police Section, for hitting or other violence and disturbing public order and peace, to be notified the competent parquet unit.
