– They found an ordinary bat, which, despite its name, is not a very common species. This is your first official data from the city. He’s fine, presumably forced the bad weather to the ground while migrating, so he could land under the wooden boat of the playground. He had no food, he was weakened, so he couldn’t go any further. If the kids do not hide here and find it in the sand, it may be killed by a predator or will be destroyed, ”said Gábor Csete, head of the Salt Lake Wildlife Center, who went to the scene himself.

The center was celebrating its 3rd birthday on the weekend after the rescue, so parents and children were invited to their event, where they could also visit the rescued bat.

– If the upcoming weaker cold front retreats, we’ll let it go one night, but we would like to do this with the kids to be part of this experience. After all, this is the best way to teach.
