Basel drama! Protesters and police clashed on the eve of the representatives of Israel in the finals
A brief conflict broke out in Basel on Saturday night between the collapse protesters and the police, just before the performance of the Israeli singer in the Eurosong finals, AFP reported. According to the Swiss news agency, ATS Keystone did not take into account the route proposed by the police.

Wearing numerous Palestinian flags, protesters gathered behind a large banner with the inscription « United to Palestine ». They burned the Israeli flag and the American flag.
On one banner it was written « We sing while Gaza was burning. »
Green smoke bombs are also activated.
Israeli participation has caused criticism and protests throughout the Eurosong Week, but this week has attracted a little support, despite the intensification of the Israeli war in Gaza, where tens of thousands of people have already been killed.
The performance of Israeli singer Yuval Raphael, who survived the Hamas attack on October 7th, was scouting during the finals, an AFP photographer noted. Switzerland Radio and Television (SSR) announced that during the general rehearsal on Thursday, « six people, including a family » who wore « excessive flags and whistles ».
In Geneva, more than 2500 people marched through the city center on Saturday to condemn the « genocidal machine of the Israeli Government, » said the Swiss news agency Keystone-ATS.
