After his first two theater performances in Antwerp, Bart De Pauw (56) responded for the first time. He thanks his audience and is clearly relieved after the predominantly positive reactions to his show.
Tuesday evening The hour of the elephant premiered in the Antwerp Stadsschouwburg. There 2,000 fans, friends and well -known headlines came to watch Bart De Pauw’s official comeback. No longer as a TV maker, but as a theater man. De Pauw brought a mishmash of comedy, cabaret and sketches in his well -known style of Schalkse Riders. His best -known type, Melle’s husband, also returned.
Despite a few (literally) false notes – De Pauw also sings in his show – the first performances were predominantly received positively. Something the fallen television star is clearly pleased. « The striker is finished. After the first two performances in Antwerp, a sense of relief and gratitude struck. Thank you to everyone who was there, and for the warmth you brought. Merci. »
