Baroque repertoire rarity / day

Premiere. The Latvian National Opera will feature George Friedrich Handel Opera Flavio, king of Langobards. For our audience, this is an opportunity to get to know the rarity of the Baroque repertoire. The show has been staged by one of today’s most successful countertenors, Max Emmanuel Cenchi (Croatia, Austria). He will also be heard in the role of Gvido. The production has come to Riga from the Bayreith Baroque Opera Festival, where it was created two years ago. The title role will be heard by the French countertenor Remi Bress-Fey. Other roles will be played by domestic young soloists: Katrina Paula Felsberg, Daniil Pogorile, Anna Amanda Stolere, Ilze Grēvele-Skaraine and Martins Zvīgulis. At the conductor’s desk – Andris Veismanis.

Classic. Tonight, at the Amber Concert Hall, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra will play the works of three Vienna classics under the guidance of conductor born in South Africa. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s concert will be played by the LNSO Fagot band concertmaster Janis Semyonovs in the Solo Solo Games. The program also includes Joseph Haydn 69 Symphony and Ludwig van Beethoven’s seventh symphony.
