Band from the embankment again attacked: they followed the couple in the car, both vehicles hit the columns and caught fire

In about 20 minutes, the flame swallowed the cars, told us the reader who testified to the fire of two cars on Tuesday night at Odran Obrezje in Zagreb. According to the Zagreb police, on Tuesday, May 13, around 9.15pm in Novi Zagreb, on the Sava-Odra, an unknown perpetrators operated the Opel car and moved on Dr. Luje Naletilić Street in the direction of the Czech street.

-With the aim of causing danger to the life or body of damaged or property, they moved behind the Ford Focus passenger car with Zagreb’s license plates, which housed a 25-year-old driver and a 23-year-old traveler. On that occasion, when they came to the same plane with a car damaged, they hit their side left several times and tried to push them off the road – police said.

In an attempt to get away from the vehicle that haunted them, the 25-year-old accelerated, but both vehicles ran into protective columns that were obstructed by a macadam road, overturned and lit. After overturning, all participants came out of the car and moved away from the scene. It is fortunate that in the event, as the police have established so far, no one has been injured.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters, cars were completely burned, and they had not yet established material damage. All other circumstances, as well as who are the perpetrators, are still determining the police with a criminal investigation.

On the part where the cars set on fire, the reader added, the columns were set to prevent the vehicles from entering the Sava-Odra canal. It is dark at that part at night, no lighting, and the first houses are several kilometers away.

– At the entrance to the channel near Lukavac, there were physical obstacles to prevent cars from entering. This is already the second The case of Monday that someone attacks couples in vehicles near this channel. Unofficially, police are investigating the possibility that cases are somehow related.

Recall that even unknown perpetrators attacked the 25-year-old and 29-year-old, who, at around 1.30pm on Monday, Opel astra of Zagreb’s registrations owned by the Rent-A-Cara brought to the embankment of the channel on the Kari Street in Kušanac. The unknown attackers approached them, the young man was kicked, took things to him, abducted Astra, and drove away. According to unofficial information, they continued to drive across the channel to Vukovina, where they stuck in the mud in one field. As they could not continue the ride, they left the car and, probably to cover up the marks, pour it with an easy liquid and set it on fire. The fully burned car was noticed on the same day by about 10 o’clock by a passerby and called the police, who conducted an investigation at the scene.

The eyewitness confirmed the suspicion that the vehicle was intentionally lit and that it was the same vehicle stolen from the embankment a few hours earlier. The attacked young man, 29, sought assistance at the Emergency Room in Velika Gorica, where they found that, in the Fortunately, he had only passed with minor injuries.

Two months ago, an unknown perpetrators threw a burning glass bottle from the Sava-Odra channel in the town of Gradica towards the family house in Gradica Street, owned by a 61-year-old man. They then lit up the car tires and released them down the embankment to that house and fled. The burning tires hit the backyard fence of the house and the fire was extinguished by the homeowner, the Zagreb police said then. 
