Bahamas suspended Spacex landing: No more approval
« Further approvals will not be issued until complete environmental assessment is reviewed, » said Latra Rahming Director of Communications in the Social Network post X.
Spacex did not immediately respond to the comment request.
The Bahama Government said in February after the first landing of Spacex to the country that they had been approved by 19 more during this year, subject to regulatory approval.
The investigation after the launch on the Bahamas comes after the Spacex Starship spacecraft exploded in space last month, a few minutes after taking off from Texas.
Videos on social networks showed fiery debris spread by the sky near southern Florida and Bahama after the spacecraft fell apart in the universe shortly after she began to turn uncontrollably with the excluded engines.
After the incident, Bahama said that the debris of the spacecraft fell into their airspace. They also stated that debris did not contain poisonous materials and that it is not expected to have a significant impact on marine life or water quality.
The Starship explosion was not associated with the Baham Landing Program of Falcon 9 with Spacex.
