Bad Bunny. From Puerto Rico to the World

There was already suspicions that Bad Bunny could step on the Portuguese soil to a concert, but when he was confirmed, madness settled. Hours and hours of waiting for ticket, in endless lines on digital platforms and in person. The goal was one: getting a ticket for the first concert in Portugal by the Singer Puerta Rican. The madness was such that the artist and the Live Nation opened a second date for another concert.

But who is Bad Bunny after all? Benito Antonio Martinez was born on March 10, 1994, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, and was raised in a low middle class family in the Almirante Sur neighborhood. The father was truck driver and his mother was an English teacher. It is the oldest of three brothers.
Since he was a young age, he was a fan of Reggaeton, a mixture of hip hop and reggae, and liked artists like Daddy Yankee and Vico C. Sometimes, as he says, he heard Calderón Tego on his way to school. He also listened to parsley, meringue and rock, and at one point even told that his favorite musicians were the bee gees.

In kid sang in the choir of the local Catholic Church, where he was until 13 years old. But from then on, he focused on doing his own beats in the room, where he spent a lot of time. Then I improvised them at school.
The years went by and Bad Bunny enrolled in the audiovisual communication program at the Arecibo campus of the University of Puerto Rico. But it was not always easy and, to finance his studies, was packing in a supermarket econo.

The music, however, did not leave its plans. Even before becoming famous, he made small concerts on San Juan, who published on his Instagram and his soundcloud account. And it was at SoundCloud that it succeeded and supported very fast.

In 2018 he told why his or her stage name. «When I was small, at school, I had to fantasize as rabbit, and there is a picture of me with an angry face. And when I saw her, I thought I should call me ‘Bad Bunny’, ”he explained. «It’s a name that I knew I would have good acceptance in the market. Rabbit is something so common that I thought to myself: whenever someone comes to one, you will remember my music.

The career has grown over the years and its name is currently recognized worldwide.
Musical critics have no doubt: “This man didn’t just enter the music industry-distorted it. There is no trends. A successful career
As soon as Bad Bunny gained strength on the internet, he began to collaborate with reggaeton’s heavy weights and from here he was always growing. Then came X 100pre, his debut album that quickly gained fame.
Years later the success was already unmistakable to the point that Rolling Stone magazine has written that Bad Bunny « continues to break records and rising loudly, reaching a place reserved for rare and unique stars. » We were in 2022.

The Porto-Rican singer was able to reach 11th position at the US Billboard 200, and his collaborative album Oasis (2019), with Balvin, reached the top 10. In 2020 he released two albums, YHLQMDLG and El Last Tour del Mundo. The latter became the first totally Spanish album to reach the top of the Billboard 200, while his first single, Dákiti, reached the top 10 of the Hot 100.

This followed by a Verano Sin Ti (2022) that managed to spend 13 weeks at the top of Billboard 200 and was appointed the best performance album of the year in the US and also worldwide. With several successful songs, it became the first Spanish album to be nominated for the album Grammy of the year. In 2025, he returned to the single Debí take bad photos.
Throughout his career, the artist has won three Grammy Awards, 11 Latin Grammy Awards, 10 Billboard Music Awards, 30 Billboard Latin Music Awards, 22 LO Nuestro, 21 ASCAP Latin Awards, Six American Music Awards, Six Urban Music Awards, four Iheartradio Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards and two MTV Miaw. In addition, he was the artist of the year, appointed by the Apple Music streaming platform in 2022.

In 2020, it was the first non-angelophone artist to be heard through Spotify in a single year, which was repeated in 2021 and 2022. In August 2024, Billboard put Bad Bunny in 23rd of its top 25 of the largest pop stars of the period 2000-2024, ahead of names like Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry.

Worldwide tour, prices and ecstasy
The worldwide tour of the world, the world of the Light Stadium on May 26, 2026. The demand was so great that the singer and the prosecutor opened another date for a new concert that will take place the next day on May 27.
For the 26th only the VIP tickets are only available, which cost almost 550 euros. The same happens for the next day.
