Broken investigator, brittle society

These breaks are disclosed in Commissario Corso Bramard and his team of investigators, which is as difficult as it is fascinating. “Rural Requiem” is more than a thriller, the novel is an investigation into Italian society. During this time, Bramard himself is a broken and drawn, to whom a serial killer had once taken wife and daughter. In the meantime, he is looking for consolation in alcohol, which not only fulfills his Isspettore Vincenzo Arcadipane with growing concern.

During the investigation, the duo will soon come across a round of honorable men, who indulge in completely different, sinless pleasure behind the coat of art enjoyment – with the same Eric Delarue and other « supports of society ». Bramard, who also shows a healthy distrust of hierarchies in dealing with his bosses, cannot be intimidated and finally finds a solution that is not redemption in this shitty case, which does not let him come to rest. With Bramard, Davide Longo has created more than one investigator, his crime novels have long been great literature.
