« Avangard » equalized the score in the series against Lokomotiv
Two quarter-final Play-off series Fonbet Championship KHL stretched out on Monday to the maximum distance. The opportunity to compete for victory in it in the seventh match was obtained on the verge of the defeat « Avangard and Salavat Yulaev. The Omsk Club beat at home – 3: 0 – “Lokomotiv”, and Ufimsky as a guest coped with overtime – 2: 1 – with Spartak.
Such a short remark tells about the unusualness of the style of the sixth match of the series, which brought Lokomotiv with the “Vanguard”. The owners opened the score closer to the end of the starting period, applying only the third throw on target. Moreover, the two who preceded him, it was unlikely that the one who carefully followed the game would be remembered on the move – too on -duty. But at the same time, the goal did not look completely crazy. On the contrary, it should be recognized as the fruit of competent follow by the “avant -garde” of the chosen strategy. And she consisted in ruthlessly stepping on the throat of the attacking song, suppressing the desire to climb forward, first of all, to closely close the rear, maybe even luring them in them – and preferably, deeper – “locomotive”. And wait until he, carried away, is bogged down, gives the opportunity to bite.
And the avant -garde defended, admittedly, exemplary. That is, Lokomotiv threw it quite often. But all these were such throws that the goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakova rather helped to maintain a tone – the threat in them, as a rule, lurked minimal, symbolic. All areas where the real threat could be born, the Vanguard controlled as an experienced escort of the Mattery Related Divisions.

Then these two clubs also met in the quarter-finals of Play-OFF. The Vanguard, as now, caught up with the opponent, caught up, but in the seventh match Lokomotiv chose him.
According to the starting period of the Moscow match, it might seem that the injury of the leader of Josh Livo’s attack was a too painful blow for Salavat Yulaev. He looked organized, but somehow completely toothless. And the fact that the owners were not able to break through the goalkeeper Semen Vyazovoye hardly strained Spartak fans. In the end, if the Ufa residents will play “for survival”, sooner or later they will have to break through. But after the break, Salavat poured a bucket of ice water on them, suddenly grinning: the won the throwing, raid by Alexander Cherny, crowned with a throw, and the finishing off of Vladislav Efremov.
Spartak, however, survived the misfortune without difficulty. Soon, his fourth link also gave a loud, not in status, a voice. The score was equalized, handing over in touch, Sergey Lukyantsev.
And then the Spartakians had to survive. “Salavat”, as if a steep marathon, barely behind the half of the match remained, turned on a new one, much worse than the previous one. And it turned out that he had a full strength and there are enough of them to set the “Spartak” to a brutal chat. Now the owners have already suffered.
Then there was a quiet third period and overtime, in which Salavat Yulaev added and “Spartak” clung thanks to the throw from afar Alexei Vasilevsky. The decisive matches in his series against the Spartaks and in the series with the participation of Lokomotiv and Avangard will be held on Wednesday in Ufa and Yaroslavl.
