Autotractors Plant from nursery and parks to weapons factory
The DP denounced what it calls usurpation of the Municipality of Tirana. Ilir Alimehmeti, who runs the DP municipal councilors, took as an example the case of the former Autotractors Plant, depending on the municipality from 2017 to carry out socio-cultural and sports activities, which he says is being abducted by the government to set up a weapons and ammunition factory.
« What did the Municipality of Tirana do these 8 years? Nothing? Now, with a punishable act of abduction of local powers, the Government decides to take the property of the Municipality of Tirana and its transition to the Ministry of Defense in order to build weapons and ammunition manufacturing plants, » said the DP adviser in the Municipality of Tirana, Ilir Alimehmeti.
Alimehmeti also emphasized that the only body that can handle the premises owned by the Municipality of Tirana is the municipal council. « For military purposes, there are enough objects and terrain that can be used and located in more appropriate areas within the territory of the Municipality of Tirana.said Alimehmeti.
