Autodopergers enter protests, asking for a reduction in fees for hauliers

BRATISLAVA. The Union of Traveling Authorities of Slovakia (UNAS) is entering protests. It calls for a reduction in tax-payable burden on hauliers. It criticizes that negotiations with various ministries were not successful in this matter.
At the same time, the Association of Road Carriers ČESMAD Slovakia calls for protest support, as she thinks her requirements should correspond to his.
TASR informed the chairman of UNAS Stanislav Skala, saying that the place and time of the protest will be published.
“The state not only has not reduced the tax and fee burden of carriers, except for the cosmetics of motor vehicles, but, on the contrary, introduces new taxes and fees that, by its amount and impact, reduce the competitiveness of domestic carriers from carriers from carriers from carriers from carriers from carriers Ukraine And neighboring states who do not pay similar taxes or pay them to a significantly lower amount, ”said Skala.
He regrets that repeated negotiations and working meetings for the past five years did not lead to any results. « The position of civil servants show that they do not intend to deal seriously and responsibly with our requirements. Since politicians need to find a solution, especially government, it is necessary to express the urgency of problems with public protests, » he said.
The protest will concern the transaction tax, the method of division of individual vehicles into toll rates and the amount of tolls. It will also protest against the use of public funds by the state, which, according to UNAS, is uneconomical.
« It results in the need for drastic measures in consolidating the state budget with the vast impact on carriers and subsequently on ordinary citizens, » said Skala.
He also called on Česmad Slovakia to support the planned protest assembly and invite members of the Association to participate. « We will publish the place and time of the protest in time so that the carriers and their sympathizers can join the protest personally or by a written message, » he added.
