Auto show with nearly 50,000 visitors ends with expensive collision: Porsche clashes against Koenigsegg Jesko of more than 3 million euros (Kortrijk)

Kortrijk

Normally no cock crows for a light head-tail collision, but on Sunday evening an exclusive Porsche crashed into an even more exclusive Koenigsegg Jesko during the GR8 International Car Show in Kortrijk. Immediately the social media were flooded with images of the incident, accompanied with the necessary OOHs and AAHs.

The light collision happened on Sunday evening during the show off after the GR8 International Car Show at the parking of Kortrijk XPO. The driver of the Koeniggsegg Jesko, value more than 3 million euros, suddenly went on brakes. The driver of the Porsche who drove behind him reacted too late and bumped into the Supercar who had just stopped before him. A sports car with a price tag of more than 3 million euros.

Almost 50,000 visitors

The entire weekend 48,000 visitors came to enjoy the glitter and glamor of more than 500 supercars and on Sunday evening hundreds of people were also watching when the collision between the two cars happened. Again with a certain spectacle value, but still of a different nature than last weekend during the car show.

Courteously handled

Organizer Dries Dumoulin responded to the incident and the resonance it knew on social media. « It was a human error and the accident was handled in a normal, courteous way by taking the drivers by taking some photos of the damage and informing the respective insurance policies. » Allegedly the two people involved in the accident are still ‘on speaking terms’. The damage sustained eventually was not too bad, but will nevertheless be of a different order than in the event of a banal accident between two weekday vehicles.(BDW)
