Authorities to open the documentation for the 2012 Pulse discotheque until today, the protest « What is Next » ordered
Transparently and completely publish the documentation related to the operation of the « Pulse » disco in Kocani from 2012 to the present, seeking the « What is the following » initiative that organizes a rally in front of the Parliament today.
The request is addressed to the Ministry of Interior, the State Market Inspectorate, the Ministry of Economy, the State Construction Inspectorate, the State Inspectorate for Urban Planning, the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, the PRO, the local self -government in Kocani, the Local Construction Inspectorate and the Consultative Body for Security and Prevention.
As it was said before the rally, « which is followed » requires both the moral responsibility of the private sector, as well as the chambers of caterers and their associations to take active measures to educate their members to deal with problems and protect guests, not only to be active when they need to be taken from the state.
The request of the initiative is to form a civic service « is an Inspectorate » that will enable transparent operation of all inspectorates in the country for every citizen to have an insight into which facility was subjected to supervision and who did not. It is necessary to install a central number for checking irregularities in the operation of the inspectorates, so that each citizen can report irregularity and then distribute it to the appropriate competent institutions.
The initiative has once again rejected a connection with any political party in the country, while Frosina Kulakova’s sister who died on the Partizanski Odredi Boulevard considers that it is the right of every citizen. In a relationship with accusations by the Kulakov family that « who is next » wants to abuse someone’s death, the initiative confirms that it was formed and came after the accident when Frosina was killed and that it was the occasion, but the reason was the state’s dysfunctional system for the past 35 years.
« Democracy does not pause », « When they go on holiday paid by our money, we are obliged to talk », « We are here without paid travel expenses and diaries, » were just some of the messages sent by the participants at the gathering.
-We demand that the documentation be published to see if there is any, ie whether the supervision was performed at the Pulse discotheque. But we do not just dwell on this case. We believe that the system in Macedonia has not functioned since its inception and therefore we demand that the documentation be published transparently for all other tragedies that have occurred in the past such as « Besa Trans », « Durmo Tours », « Oncology » and the Tetovo modular hospital. And for these tragic events where the system has failed, the public has not been fully informed to protect certain individuals or groups who have ruled the state for the past 35 years – said Borjan Eftimov of « Who is Next ».
Regarding the non -working Assembly at the moment, Eftimovi emphasized that because of this the citizens have symbolically gathered here, set up chairs and discuss the problems, face different opinions and arguments.
-As citizens we are frustrated by the inactivity of the Assembly not only in these two weeks, but in all our lifespan. The Assembly is extremely passive, although it has the greatest obligation to represent the citizens. That is why we decided when the MPs who are paid by our taxes, we as citizens, are already on vacation and discussing our problems, to face different opinions and arguments because we think that only in this way can we truly change the system and fight for the progress of the state – emphasized Eftimov.
According to him, political parties have party and institutional mechanisms through which they could fight if they truly want to change the system.
-Statements and announcements are nothing but naked populism aimed at bringing citizens closer to their political option. We urge them to actively work and contribute to changing society within the mechanisms they have. With this we clearly say that we are not with the political parties, we do not believe that they are currently truly advocating for an essential change and demanding and pushing them to start doing so because the citizens are dissatisfied – Eftimov said.
Answering a journalist’s question about the reactions of Frosina Kulakova’s family, he once again said that every citizen has the right to express his opinion, but « who is next, » he said, will continue to fight for every citizen, for current and future generations.
-We want to live here, including citizens who disagree with us. We will always stand on the bumper of the speech, we accept that they have the right to express their opinion, and we have a different opinion and that is part of a democratic society – said Eftimov.
« Who is Next » has demands for urban problems in cities.
-We demand that the authorities operate by providing functional public transport. We support the ambition of « Macedonian Railways » for a city train, which will get a new dimension. Another measure is certain zones to be for pedestrians only. It works in certain places such as Debar Maalo where certain streets at the weekend operate without cars. Such measures are the beginning to make our cities cities of people, not machines – said Igor Antov of « Who is Next ».
The following activities of « who are next » will be agreed after today’s rally.
