Augsburg influencer gives insights into the life of a flight attendant
As Flight attendant The Augsburg -based Amelie Riedel flies around the world – and she shares her roster and stays in the most exotic places on social networks. In the meantime, Amelielunar, as she calls herself on the net, has almost 100,000 followers on Instagram. « I had never planned to become an influencer, that just happened, » says the 25-year-old.
It all started in 2020. During the Corona pandemic There were hardly any flights, so she spent a lot of time at home. As a pastime, she has the Social media platform TIKTOK Installed and uploaded a video about her work as a flight attendant. After that, she received a lot of questions regarding the job and answered it in a video. « This way it got bigger and bigger, » she says. After pandemic, she increasingly showed videos of the travel destinations and her roster, which at that time did not often exist on the social media platforms and fascinated many people. Today, she says, she would get so many messages that she could no longer answer everyone.
Working as a flight attendant was not always her dream job. The idea was born after graduating from high school: she wanted to see the world, but did not have the necessary money. A friend therefore gave her the idea of applying as a flight attendant. « Actually, I only wanted to make the job bridged for a year, now I’ve been there for seven years, » she says.

The variety likes her most. « No flight is like the other. In addition, I can get to know many different cultures and people, » she says. She still doesn’t know whether it was a job forever. She wanted to fly as long as she fulfills it. It is important for her to emphasize that flight attendant is still her main job. She is also influencer. But being recognized by people is still absurd for them.
« On average, I travel two to five days a week, but I often have a few days off afterwards. » After a long -haul flight, a rest period of a few days is even prescribed by law. On her days off, she also enjoys being at home. « Sometimes I even spend my vacation at home, because otherwise I always live out of my suitcase ». For them, every goal has something to offer, she does not have a preference. The time difference is sometimes difficult for her on long -distance trips. Her longest flight so far was 14.5 hours from Munich to Tokyo.
