Two modes of operation are available: « EV » and « Hybrid ». In EV mode, SUVs and Sportback e-hybrid models operate exclusively with electricity. When driving in a hybrid operation, the hybrid management system maintains a specific level of charge as needed to save enough electricity for subsequent use. In addition to automatic hybrid function, the desired charge level can now be selected individually.

The electric drive is provided by a permanently stimulated modern engine with a maximum power of 143 hp. The motor is integrated into the S Tronic 7 gearbox housing. The full torque of the system is 500 Nm on the engine with a power of 299 hp and 450 Nm in the 367 hp engine.

Both e-hybrid models stand out above all with their upgraded basic equipment. With power selection at 299 hp, these include Sports S and automatic tricolocal air conditioning.
