Audi in Formula1, Okloto on the steering wheel
OR Audi is getting ready to enter for the first time in Formula 1 In 2026, with its own factory group and a « Power Unit », which is developed in Germany. It has been announced that Matthias Binotto, as head of the Audi F1 Project, will be responsible for all development activities extending to the technical centers of Hinwil, Neuburg an der Donau and England.

Mattia binotto will be chief operating and chief technical officer at sauber motorsport AG.
To simplify the administrative structure, the previous role of CEO is abolished in the context of reorganization. Stefan Dreyer will continue to lead the sector of power plant in Neuburg as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and will assume the new role of Audi Formula Racing (AFR).
