Attention! On many TVs in East and Central Estonia since April, you will have to reconfigure channels
On the night of April 1, the frequency of three transmitters will change, which broadcast a television signal in a number of counties of central and eastern Estonia. The change will affect the free broadcasting and translated in the HD-format TV channels ERR: ETV, ETV2 and ETV+. If on April 1, these channels are not available in free broadcasting, it is necessary to search for channels in the TV menu, writes Rus.delfi.
The zone of coverage of television transmitters in Coer, Kokhtla-Minme and Poltsamaa fully or partially covers the following counties: Karyumaa, Raplamaa, Yarvamaa, Lyaen and Ida-Virumaa, Povyarnumaa, Viliandimaa, Yyshevamaa, Tartumaa and the city of Narva. Detailed information can be found on the map.
If the “SD” mark is displayed in the upper left corner of the TV screen, then the audience does not need to search for channels on April 1. Change will not affect the broadcast of television channels in SD format.
To search for channels in the TV menu, you should find the “Settings” section, then select the item “Avtopoisk”, “Setting” or something similar. If the signal source is requested before the search, you must select the “antenna” or “DVB-T”, after which the search will start. You will find detailed information in the instructions for using your TV.
“The frequency change will improve the quality of signal receiving in the area of action of transmitters Coer, Kokhtla-Minme and Poltsamaa. In addition, the frequency will become the same as the transmitters of Valgyarva and Willyandy – that is, the E35 channel with a central frequency of 586 MHz, ”said the director of technology and IT Levira Christo Caasan.
Additional information about free broadcasting can be obtained on the site https://digilevi.ee/ Or in the support service by phone 680 4040 (daily from 10:00 to 22:00).
