At the Zigfrid Exhibition, the film wanderer will be held by Arta Oruba’s solo concert / day
Artis: « Always when Sig (Zigfried) called me from one of my many phone numbers, I opened my calendar first and only lifted the phone. Sometimes the call was just logging in or chat, but in most cases it was just a very short question – when could the concert?

Artis Orubs is a talented domestic jazz drummer who has expanded his knowledge outside Latvia. He studied at Emil Dārziņš Music School, studied at Utrez and Amsterdam Conservatory, but later returned to Latvia at the Jāzeps Vītols Music Academy. Oruba talent goes beyond classic jazz frames – the artist has also focused on composition and production. Artis has played with an impressive number of Latvians and internationally renowned musicians, in parallel, holding the position of leading drummer on the Latvian Radio Big Band and presenting the jazz department of the Joseph Vītols Latvian Academy of Music.
The exhibition is an insight into the French -born composer, musician, film director and world tourist SIG, or Zigfried. Although Zigfrid’s sudden death last fall has radically changed the process of creating this exhibition, and most likely how we look at his work, which is now revealed in his total totality, it is the manifestation of his ideas and presence. The exposure is made up of a movie Cinema, What is the masterpiece of the ecstatic scope of the world, and his wandering photos, which can be viewed as an addition to the Sinematic vision of the world of Zigfrid, and as an artistic study of the mysteries of human world and existence.
Zigfried (Siegfried Debrebant, 1973-2024) The first full -length film movie Louise (Take 2) In 1998 was shown in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival. Next, there were six more full -length films made in different parts of the world, including 2017 in Riga Riga, take oneand successful in Cannes, Rotterdam, Sandens and other prestigious international film festivals. His Calcutti Filmed Feature Film Bengali Variation 2022 was also shown in the year Riga IFF Film Festival. Zigfried has written music not only for all his films but also other directors. As a musician, under the pseudonym – SIG, he collaborated with famous musicians like Ivry Gitlis, Erik Truffaz, Steve Lacy, Le Mystère Des Voix Bulgares, Thomas Banggalter, Vladimir Volkov, Lewis Pragasam, Joy Frempong and Latvian musicians Arti Orub. He has provided solo piano concerts with the Russian, Ukrainian and Bulgarian Philharmonic and has released countless music albums. His final concert took place on the stage of the Cannabis Cultural Center in August 2024.
