At the luxury hotel in the center of Zagreb, they found a snake: ‘Live by the water, there are not very often here’
No one knows how to snake the fisherman who otherwise lives along the water and feeds on fish, ended up in a luxury Zagreb hotel. The snake is now safe, and the hotel guests are also safe because the Zagreb -based unhappy animal shelter – Dumovec, has solved the situation. They posted the details of the action on their site.
– Yesterday evening, the guard noticed a snake on the terrace of a Zagreb hotel. He saw that he was running by the door, but he wasn’t sure where she went. They called us from the hotel to come to help them. Our colleague Dalibor soon arrived on the scene, but there was neither a trace nor a voice from the snake. He found that the snake could only be pulled under the neck threshold. He saw that there was enough space for her to pass, but he was not sure if she was really there. He warned the hotel staff that the threshold could not be easily removed and that it could be damaged by moving – they wrote from Dumovac. The hotel was obviously important for the snake to be found, so, as Dumovec claims, he took the risk.
– As soon as our colleague lifted his threshold, he saw the sought after reptiles. It was a fisherman, a kind of snake we don’t meet often in the city center. It lives with water, most often wetlands and rivers. It feeds on the first place to fish. This fisherman was about 40 cm long. We found her a place in nature where she would have a quieter life. We let her go there, ”they explained.
