At the International Theater Festival, the New Riga Theater performance was performed by the Black Swan and the movie White Helicopter / Day

The festival’s audience and media interest in the projects of the New Riga Theater was high. The show and the film were screened fully sold out in Torun’s city arena and cinema. After the show, the actors were meeting with the audience.

Festival Contact is one of the most important theater festivals in Europe and has been going on since 1991, when Torun became the first meeting place for theaters from Eastern Europe and Western Europe. More than a hundred international theater professionals, critics and media representatives participate in the festival every year. The new Riga Theater is associated with an ancient friendship with the festival. The festival has been shown Marquis De Sada 1994, Seagull 1997, A month on the countryside In 2006, Latvian stories and False In 2007, Sound In 2008, Grandfather and Zilakalns Martha 2010, Black milk 2012 and Deafness 2024. Several awards have been won – the show False was recognized as the best performance of the festival, Gundars Āboliņš won the Best Actor Award and Alvis Hermanis – Best Director Award, Show Black milk received a press prize, Latvian stories – Award for originality, in turn Zilakalns Martha and Grandfather got the festival Grand Prix.
