The tax and such a department (NTD) recalls that March 31 is the deadline for paying the first part of the land tax this year. Almost 370,000 private and legal entities should pay a total of about 48 million euros for this period.

Changes in the payment of land tax this year

Land tax rates have changed in many local self -government. Tax rates 0.1–1% remained at the same level for land plots of residential or agricultural land, which have personal plots. The maximum rate of increase in land tax (the so -called protective mechanism) has changed this year. The protective mechanism is designed to prevent a sharp increase in land tax compared to the previous year. Land tax for each cadastral unit will increase in comparison with last year to 50% (up to 20 euros), if tax exemption or relevant benefits is not applied to the land plot. If (compared with land tax over the past year) growth of 50% is less than 20 euros, then the amount of land tax will increase by 20 euros. If the cadastral unit has tax exemptions and benefits, then the land tax in 2025 may differ from the previous year by more than 50% (more than 20 euros).
