On Saturday, everything was fine. I went to my horses, as usual. I gave them to eat, and when I returned on Sunday, he had only to see. Someone stole my front door. And not very small, because they are five meters long. The worse, seven horses disappeared, Luka Cupic, 31, of Trbounje told us, a place not far from Drnis, who experienced a real shock last weekend.

He is very tied to his horses

There is a damage to several thousand euros, but it’s just material.

The other, emotional, is much higher because it is very attached to its horses, which there are not many in the Drniš area.

– I visited the space to make sure I did not dream and see the horse nowhere. I got into the car and went to the police, where I reported that there were no fences or horses – Luka says, adding that they were amazed at this unusual case at the police itself.

Someone stole his horses

The Šibenik-Knin police briefly announced the news on Monday that an unknown perpetrator broke and alienated horses. So this story came to public. Which also brought a turn on Tuesday night.

– On Tuesday night, when I returned to the place where I could eat horses, they showed up, around 10 pm. This is always our ritual, so I counted six of them, Dora, Nika, Mrka, Bila, Hing and Ivan appeared. All horses are two and a half years old breeds Croatian Posavci, and only in the herd is missing Biba, which is gone yet – Luka told us.

He points out that his horses are chipped and calm, they love people, have papers and are ujahani. He believes that the perpetrators have actually come to Bib, who are not yet there, and the rest of them followed them because they simply follow people.

– In my opinion, the perpetrators managed to bite, and the rest of the horse went after her. If it comes to mind, Bibu just let go, she will already be able to return home, where she belongs – explains Luka. He holds horses on a state land, which he says, he has neatly hired.

There is no benefit of them, it keeps them out of love.

« It’s no longer a working animal, this is a hobby to me, » he adds, and says he had problems before.

– Someone in the horses, someone settled a fire. It is as if my animals are bothered by someone, and they have never done any harm – he says as he looks at his Dok, Nika, Mrka, Bil, a hinge and John, who have come home.

In Trbounje, a place with barely 150 inhabitants, little is happening, thefts, they explain, are rare. So far they have not had a case of horses.

– There’s no one here. Especially not theft of horses. Cows, cattle, sheep … But the horses never. They are very rare with us. There are only three owners who hold horses in the entire Drniš area. They are no longer so necessary to work. We who do this do this out of love. So I hope my bib will return, ”Luka concluded.
