As if hunting for NGOs were planned by the Communists
The ambition to have a whip for NGOs will not give up much.

Communist secret services had special spying departments abroad, revealing foreign agents penetrating the country and the internal enemy department. The third department focused on the monitoring and elimination of persons considered to be a threat to the regime from the inside. They were citizens who organized, published samizdat, went to church, read forbidden books or listened to free Europe. According to the Communists, they were developing anti -state activity, there were parasites, subversives, agents.
The internal enemies were often the people who were given by a neighbor because he heard them to the Communists. It could be teachers who refused to teach the winning February 1948, or writers who diverted from dialectical materialism in the perception of Marx and Engels.
Reading some statements of politicians to activists and non -governmental organizations, we may have a legitimate feeling that the mentality of people who used communist secret services has successfully resisted democratic changes, even adapting to the conditions of « democracy ». They refer to active citizens as agents, veneers, buds and subversives.
For the time being, Parliament has pushed the vote on the amendment to the Act on Non -Profit Organizations, which creates land to monitor all the activities of these organizations, which they can influence public officials, but it is clear that the ambition to have a whip for NGOs will not give up the government.
Robert Fico says that this is not a « Russian law » that the legislative creation from the CIS chamber is in line with European standards. In addition to experts from Slovakia, the Commissioner of the Council of Europe is also disagreed by Michael O’Flahets. It claims that the law should be approved by the coalition in cooperation with NGOs. It does not seem to him that NGOs could be penalized and then dissolved without the court’s final decision.
In addition, O’Flahety also doubted whether Slovakia needs such a law at all.
Laws to restrict NGOs are an essential part of the authoritative equipment. When critics call this law Russian, they do not claim that it is identical to Putin’s law against foreign agents, but the spirit and goal of these laws are very similar. We have many examples around the world. In order not to continue to do notorious examples from Russia or Turkey, let’s look at Peru, for example.
Less than a month ago, in March, the Peruvian Congress approved a similarly controversial amendment to the law, which significantly strengthens government control over non -governmental organizations funded from abroad. Human rights activists in Peru blame the amendments similar to those in Slovakia. Observers are increasingly warned that in Peru, even though there is no purebred autocracy, democratic institutions erodate.
In addition, Fico’s desire for transparency is not generally valid. The labeling of members of these organizations would be stigmatized as lobbyists, but the whole army of the facilities who have come to the ruling parties will be able to lobby for anything beneficial to a family or party without any regulation.
We all pay Fica
It would be interesting to know how many Direction voters realize that they co -finance Robert Fico’s government. They have their contribution clearly stated on the paycheck. Of course, not only the CIS voters contributed their own money to the international limousine of Minister Martina Šimkovičová.
When Robert Fico is screaming that no one in his housing, he throws his hands at the fact that journalists are asking for Norbert Bödör, whose Bonul received rich orders from the government, or why he supports conspiracy websites from his reserve is defending control. Because the prime minister’s reserve is actually a reserve of a taxpayer.
When Fico establishes and distributes ministries to keep his government together, the voter should not forget that it is also his money. Anyone who has income and pays taxes has the right to know how the state handles public finances. Just as they are considering whether they can afford to buy a new mobile phone to a child, they should consider government spending.

The convicted nominee leads a state agency
Eva Lisová, who was sentenced in the past in two cases related to her illegal real estate business, leads the agency of the state of supported rental housing, warns my colleague Matúš Burčík. Robert Fico said he cares particularly about this project and that he considered it a premiere theme.
In 2022, the Lisa Regional Court in Nitra found guilty of the crime of damaging the creditor and imposed its sentence for three years conditionally. He set a probationary period for five years. In addition, she was also found guilty of fraud. It was prohibited to perform the function of a statutory body or a member of the statutory body of a company or cooperative. What is behind the attacks on Direction’s case investigators
Robert Fico, Vice -President of the Parliament and father of the secret service chief Tibor Gašpar at a joint press conference aggressively attacked uncomfortable Directional investigators. They associated the investigators around Ján Čurilla with a possible future assassination of Direction politicians, and distortedly informed about the health status of documentation to which they cannot have legal access. At the same time, they complained that the police were not sufficiently against them.

When the Judicial Council intimidates
The attacks on Directional investigators and colleague Jana Krescanko Dibáková also commented in the arena. The instinct of the Judicial Council that it is more likely to explain its decisions to the public is correct. Unfortunately, Mrs. Kosová, instead of systematically informing the public about the steps of the Judicial Council or the procedures of the courts that raised issues in the public, comments on opinion texts and formats in the media. In the commentary and in Podcast my colleagues Nataša Holinová, Zuzana Kovačič Hanzelová and Jakub Filo commented on the procedures of judges and councils within the framework of journalism criticism that judges as public bearers must bear.
Of course, judges also have the opportunity to contact the press council, even bringing a civil action. Although threatening media with lawsuits for opinion texts is rather intimidation of the media.
Today’s performance by Mrs. Kosova was not the first media window of the Judicial Council.
In the past, Mrs. Kosová was commenting on my colleague Matúš Kostolný, who justified the court’s decision on extremist Daniel Bombic. By the way, this decision is now canceled and the N Daily N can still call Bombica what it is: an anti -Semitus and a fascist.
The Judicial Council also hindered the speech of actor Robert Roth in the protest against the government of Robert Fico and considered it an attack on judges. On the basis of the current reactions of the Judicial Council, any criticism of judges can be considered as a « excitement » against them.
One thing is to respect the court decisions, but it is completely legitimate to comment on them and to require additional explanations from judges. Interestingly, the Judicial Council does not passionately resume judges attacking Robert Fico or members of his government.
