As a dancer, Georgy Smilevski celebrated the 50th anniversary in Mamt

On the stage of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko music theater (MamT), a three-part gala concert was held in honor of the 50th anniversary of the first dancer, People’s Artist of Russia Georgi Smilevski, in which his children and all the leading artists of the theater danced with the hero of the evening. The « third youth » of the prime minister-yubelar does not cease to be surprised Tatyana Kuznetsova.

Over 30 years of work in Mamt, Georgy Smilevski, along with the theater, survived the rise, decline, and the revival in the new repertoire. It is not surprising that Gala, who reflected not only the career of the anniversary, but also the history of the troupe, stretched for four hours. It is amazing different: the 50-year-old prime minister performed in the role of a hero-lover, and this did not seem awkward or strange: he unconditionally won his young colleagues. A slender brunette with aristocratic posture and noble gestures, which is in excellent form, has been and remains indispensable for the theater. “Stasik” always experienced problems with the dancing “princes”: his premiere-technicians were not handsome, and noble textured cavaliers were not distinguished by impeccable technology. Smilevsky is a happy exception.

His ballet life was a happy exception. A capable ten-year-old boy was sent to study in Moscow, as soon as he entered the ballet school of Sofia-apparently, in the calculation, to get the Bulgarian prime minister of extra-class. The calculation was not justified. Yuri Grigorovich noted the graduate of Mahu and took him to him – but not in the real large, but in the troupe of the Bolshoi Theater – Studio Grigorovich, who was in need of beautiful soloists. Two years later, the troupe was dismissed, and the young prime minister was intercepted by the chief choreographer of Stasika Dmitry Bryantsev. Since then, Smilevski is the attraction of the theater. All the choreographers who worked with the troupe chose it for their performances: the notebook “Classic” was susceptible to different styles and forms of dance. John Neumayer, Irji Kilian, Nacho Duato, Serzh Lifar – a list of authors with world names is too long to bring him entirely, because over the past 15 years, Stasik’s ballet arts, especially the Frenchman Laurent Iler, turned his repertoire into an anthology of ballet of the twentieth century.

For obvious reasons, the western pages of the Stasik history were not represented on the anniversary Gala, but the Russian ones were not fully. The concert began with a one -acting “Stracian” – the first ballet of Vladimir Burmeister. The premiere of the scenes from the Vienna Life took place in Moscow on October 25, 1941. The charming frivolity of this divertissement ballet, shown immediately after evacuation panic, is today amazing, like its genetic resemblance to the “Parisian fun” by Leonid Myasin, presented a year and a half earlier in the serene Monta Carlo. The ballet now looks viable, and with its pace and rotational virtuosos of 85 years ago, and the current artists coped with obvious labor. But the poet-Smilevsky in a black tailcoat was completely irresistible-both as a romantic lover and as a gentleman: two adagio was replete with a complex combination of upper and medium supports in which his lover (Oksana Kardash) and actress (Eric Mikirticheva) felt in complete security.

Another type of support (mirmed-plane) and another type of romance relations (elegiac, almost somnambulic) were required in the duet from the “ghostly ball” Dmitry Bryantsev, which opened the second compartment. And here the anniversary was impeccable: with an ardent swiftness, he shared the circle of semi-partner Jete En Tournant, rarefied by fuet tours, and skillfully retired the partnership flaws of his lady-Natalia Somova. With her, in the third branch, he danced a duet from the forgotten “evening dances” of Tom Shilling, the “eastern” German, who replaced the entire Western choreography in the 1970s. In the antagonistic duel, depicting a certain husband of the abuser, the dancer was able to demonstrate solo valor: pure pirouettes and high double tours.

The concert was completed by the « et cetera » number – the « Spanish » promenade of two courageous handsome men under the guitar interruptions of Francisco Tarregin, put by Maxim Sevagin for the then artistic director of the musheater Laurent Iler and Georgy Smilevski. This time, the hero of the evening danced with his son Dmitry-Prime Minister of the Bolshoi Theater, and Novella acquired an epic-intimate shade: Smilevski-Sr., experienced and wise, passed the secrets of the profession to the youngest-impulsive and hot.

Logically built, but overloaded with optional numbers, the anniversary festival turned out to be nevertheless very warm, even family. The nephew of the hero of the day the temperamental soloist Mamt Georgi Smilevski Jr. performed the wild solo number « Sherlock » about the detective of Holmes, a lover of cocaine. And the youngest son Alexander Smilevski, a fourth grade student with lovely long legs and an excellent jump-danced with Milana Kravchenko “Children’s Pa-de de de”, demonstrating the family, musicality, a sense of pose and delighting the admirers of Smilevsky Sr. that nature did not want to rest on his descendants.
