The 14 -year funeral will take place at 6:00 on Monday afternoon, his parents, relatives and friends will bid him farewell to the Church of St. Paraskevi in Arta.
The 14 -year -old’s family, as well as the 12 -year -old who died a few hours after their recruitment to Arachthos, made the brave decision to donate their organs. Doctors have already received the Spyros organs and his kidney was successfully transformed into a 32 -year -old man at the « Hippocrates » Hospital in Thessaloniki. In addition, one of the 14 -year -old cornea is in AHEPA Hospital in Thessaloniki, where his transplantation is expected to be planned.
At dawn on Tuesday, the organ will be removed from the 12 -year -old, so that the liver transplant can be followed in the same Thessaloniki hospital. In addition, the possible transplantation for the pancreas and a kidney will be considered.
