The Civil Guard has arrested six members of an armed network that passed by police officers, fully equipped and armed with rifles and guns, to assault drug traffickers throughout the national geography. Three of them have entered prison.
The arrests have occurred in Almería and Huelva in the framework of the so -called operation Barbadoscoordinated by the Command of the Civil Guard of Castellón, after eight months of investigation that started as a result of the escape of two of the members of the organization by the AP-7 highway at the height of the Castellón town of Burriana to avoid a Police control.
The criminal network was dedicated to making drugs, especially hashish, to other criminal groups. In their assaults they pretended to be agents of the authority, provided with rifles and guns, bulletproof vests, flashlights and police luminous rotations.
The escape of two high-end vehicles last June on the AP-7 highway in Burriana to try to dodge a preventive control of Civil Guard security allowed the organization. The cars fled in the opposite direction, causing a sinister against another vehicle. After this accident, the criminals escaped on foot, leaving the two abandoned cars, which had been stolen and had the folded registration plates, the agents checked.
When registering the cars found a rifle, subfusil and two guns, all ammunicated. Also bulletproof vests, vests with the Civil Guard emblem and police elements such as flashlights and luminous rotating ones. One of the cars was completely adapted to its use as a police vehicle.

The investigation has had the support of the Citizen Security Unit (Usecic) of Castellón, Information Groups of Almería and Huelva, the Organic Judicial Police Unit of the Civil Guard of Almería, the Reserve and Security Group (ARS) of Zaragoza and León, specialized canine guides in drugs and weapons of Almería and Madrid, and other citizen security units.
Eight months later, the six members of the organization in the provinces of Almería and Huelva have been arrested. Three of them have entered prison. The agents have made records in Vícar, Retamar and Cuevas de Almanzora (Almería) and a room in Bollullos Par of County (Huelva).
