Georgia has been at the forefront of the favorite destinations of holiday Poles for many years. This year, however, due to the tense situation in this country, some can be an unpleasant surprise on the border. Recently, it is often because foreigners, including European Union citizens, have been refused to enter Georgia.
Are you going on vacation to Georgia? The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls
« Please consider whether in your individual case there are factors that increase the risk of receiving refusal to enter: they may include participation in demonstrations or staying near them, as well as specific activity in social media. residence permits » – emphasizes the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Georgia.
It was also reminded that for participation, even alleged, high fines threaten foreigners in demonstrations.

The situation in Georgia is tense
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also appeals to Poles going to Georgia that they would be particularly careful until the situation in this country is normalized.
« We recommend avoiding places of public appearances and potential mass places, and and if they appear in their area, moving away to a safe place. In addition, we suggest the ongoing tracking of press messages on the further development of the security situation in Georgia, » it was reported.
