Are they Parqueti, Is Superman? I don’t know, but they fly
Songs that make me play
Thirty -four years lasts Parqueti’s career and therefore the April 26 concert at the ICF lasted 204 minutes or 3 hours and 24 minutes (every ten years after one hour). And there on that scene, upstairs the stairs in the big hall in the ICF, an eruption of a volcano with a lava flooded that floods all. As if « Ramension » (which, by the way, there is no long) playing in Skopje. On one side they have their mixed audience, young, in the middle, old, full hall of different characters, but all merged with one mission-to see them, the highest quality rocker-punker in Macedonia. On the other hand, they are-« Parqueti » (rock-punk garage band from Bitola dating back to 1991), which do not calculate with anyone and nothing, uncompromising, make their own, roll as 20-year-olds.
The first album was recorded in 1996 and was named « Care of Conscience », and the second – « Carbonated Harmony » was filmed in 1998 and the band has a different composition on it, ie in the place of Saso Parquet – his brother is vocalist. Saso returns to the band at the beginning of the new millennium. The « Parqueti » discography also includes albums such as « But Tinque (1992-2002) », « The Secret of the Name », « Mom, Don’t tell Dad », « Republic of Frankenstein », « Parketi », « Treinta putos años » …
And on the stage Saso, Sims, Zoki and Riste, two guitars, bass, drums and vocals, doing such a sound of sounds as if they were about twenty on stage, though there were times when they were really twenty on the stage, representatives of what was an anti-esteem in the Macedonian rock music. These are those somewhat affirmed, but insufficiently advertised, those who were always at the top, but never the highest, those who left a smaller or larger mark, such as Zoki Aggressor, D-Baltons, Aleksandar Ristovski-Prince, Secko, the one from Jocanche … as well as some former members. What can only be imagined has suddenly become realized. « Parqueti » sang for sure, they played fiercely. Sashe with blond hair was a real impression, a showman, and Sims, who starred at some time, was in a full element. And they were ordered: « Bang, Bang » (processing, and what, the original of Sony and Cher), « Strawbery », « I want to cuddle », « Moon », « Brown Dwarfs », « Sugar », « I Care You », « Porn Bonno », « Courtasia », « Courta Music. The joint enjoyment of both the audience and the musicians.
« Parquets » are one of the few with such an assortment of songs that the audience sings, jumps, simply enjoys, and they fly, saving Macedonian souls, just as Superman flies over the planet, saving everything that can be saved. It is a pity, a great deal of damage that they do not have a manager to push them, though not too late for big things, are still vital and can tour larger spaces. If I would like to attend something, it would certainly be a tour of the Partibers or « Psychomodo Pop », and as a « parquet ». The ways of God are strange, nothing strange and that happen!
